Penfield Tate II served as Mayor of Boulder, Colorado during the 1970s. (His son, Penfield Tate III, ran an unsuccessful mayoral campaign of his own in Denver, in 2003.) The bulk of these papers relates to Tate’s time as Mayor of Boulder.
