Scope and Content

There exist six distinct compilations in this set of scrapbooks. James Harrison, a fire fighter with Denver Department No. 3, arranged the following:

  1. Newspaper clippings about Denver and world affairs (ca. 1940s-1960s)
  2. Newspaper clippings about sports and sports stars (ca. 1960s)
  3. Newspaper clippings, correspondence (telegrams, mostly), and contracts between fighters (such as Scotty Williamson and Harry Cook) and promoters.
