Scope and Content

The Eddie Hanna Papers (bulk dates = 1947-1949) consist primarily of a scrapbook compiled by Hanna’s sister, Lanie Hanna Kirkland. The material within the scrapbook includes newspaper clippings (mostly from the Denver Post and the Kansas City Globe) and photographs that pertain to Hanna’s short-lived career as a football player for Colorado A&M (precursor to Colorado State University). Due to extreme deterioration, the scrapbook was dismantled, but a duplicate copy was made for researchers to discern as much of the original order as possible.
